About us

So why handmade soap you might ask? Well, to answer that question I would first need to tell you about a little thing called Eczema. It started out when my son, Triston, at about 6 months old, started developing severe skin rashes. After a lot of doctors visits and finally a referral to the dermatologist, he was diagnosed with Eczema, along with a whole slew of other allergies that set it off. We started down the road of trying a lot of different medicines and or creams to try and manage it. If there is one thing you will know about this particular skin condition, it is hard to manage and even harder to find anything to help with the outbreaks when they do happen. We went through all different types of soaps and the only thing we could seem to find that didn't cause ill effects were pretty expensive ($15 a bar). Even soaps that were designated as 'sensitive skin' or 'dye free' still seemed to cause issues and only worked at certain times.

It wasn't until we were walking down an aisle in a craft store one day and stumbled across a soap making section that I thought, "Hey why don't we make our own soap?" So from there the journey of making soap began and we have tried to build upon our experiences with it and hoped to reflect that outwards to our friends, neighbors, and communities. We take a lot of pride in each bar of soap we make and each bar has a little bit of our families heart and soul that goes along with it. Everything is made the old fashioned way from natural ingredients and I wouldn't offer anything that I wont approve for my own son's skin.
